The Preferences Window: Speech Tab

To display the speech preferences, select the Speech tab in the Preferences Window.

This is where you specify preferences for voice commands and spoken announcements in Thinking Home.

Respond to voice commands

When enabled, Thinking Home listens to voice commands. When you enable voice commands, either leave Thinking Home running or enable 24/7 background operation for Thinking Home in the General preferences tab of the Preferences Window.

Announcement Voice

A list of available Mac voices that will be used when you have an event or responder perform an announcement. Press the Test button to listen to each voice before you select one to announce Thinking Home.
